Amanda H.K. Steiman

Dr. Amanda Steiman has worked in education for the past 28 years as a teacher, instructional coach, consultant, trainer, and university faculty. Currently, she is part of UCLA’s 21CSLA Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Team, where she develops and facilitates content on equity and best practices for leaders of TK programs. Additionally, she is a member of the 21CSLA Internal Evaluation Team. In the recent past, Amanda worked for the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE)‘s Early Learning Support Unit, supporting preschool and TK teachers and administrators through the California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN), and served as the qualitative data lead on projects for the UCLA Social Research Methodology Evaluation Group. She also works as a consultant, where her work focuses on literacy, social emotional learning, and teacher growth, development, and evaluation. Amanda received her doctorate in education from UCLA’s Educational Leadership Program in 2006.
