Ph.D. in Education
Passion Lord is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Higher Education and Organizational Change program at UCLA. A first-generation college graduate and L.A. native, she is passionate about the recruitment, retention, and persistence of underrepresented communities in higher education. Her current research explores how social media influences prospective students’ decisions to enroll at an institution. Passion has leveraged her business background in various professional and volunteer roles within the education sector. She also serves as a teaching assistant for the Bunche Fellows Program, where she assists undergraduate students with their research projects and presentations. These projects are showcased at two university-wide research symposiums: the Undergraduate Research Showcase and the Bunche Fellows Research Symposium.
