Ana Romero
Assistant Director, Masters in Student Affairs Program
Dr. Ana Romero is the Assistant Director of the Master’s in Student Affairs program in the School of Education and Information Studies. Dr. Romero advises graduate students, teaches courses in the MSA program, and collaborates with faculty on curricular assessment and change. Her scholarly work centers the experiences of marginalized communities and examines the impact of STEMM education initiatives, institutional change efforts, and work climate issues in higher education. Her experiences as a higher education administrator in residential life and academic affairs inform her research and teaching.
Dr. Romero currently serves on the Editorial Board for the NASPA Journal of Women and Gender in Higher Education. She formerly served as an Associate Project Scientist for the Diversity Program Consortium Coordination and Evaluation Center at UCLA.
