Yingshi Huang
Ph.D. in Education
Yingshi Huang enjoys exploring the playground of psychometrics. Though she carries no map, she uses latent variable models as streetlights, guiding her toward a destination called testing and student learning. She believes that students’ behaviors and knowledge resemble a network, with some of the nodes illuminated by those streetlights are only part of the full landscape. Her work integrates the network perspective into latent variable models, with the hope of shedding light on students’ true learning pathways and the future development that lies behind the learning process.
