Suzanne Seplow Honored with Distinguished Career Award

Suzanne Seplow, associate vice chancellor for student development & health at UCLA Student Affairs, and faculty in residence in UCLA’s Master of Student Affairs program in the School of Education and Information Studies has received the Distinguished Career Award from the Administrative Management Group in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Campus Human Resources. 

The award honors an individual who has built a distinguished career at the university, shared valuable institutional knowledge, and made significant contributions to the campus community. Each year, the Administrative Management Group (AMG) honors individuals whose careers exemplify a dedication to excellence and inspire others through their service to the University.

As associate vice chancellor, Seplow leads the efforts of one of the divisions of student affairs to provide programs and services to students to help them reach their full potential and achieve their life goals, championing the health and well-being of all Bruins.

At the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies “Seppy” serves as the student affairs director of the Master’s in Student Affairs Program and teaches the Student Affairs Administration course. She has also taught in the UCLA Fiat Lux and honors programs.

“Seppy is an outstanding colleague and an excellent human being,” says Cecilia Rios-Aguilar, chair of the department of education. She is our role model for serving students and a support for all of us in the MSA program, in the Department of Education and at UCLA.” 

Sepelow earned her Doctorate in Education from the UCLA Educational Leadership Program in 2001 as a proud member of cohort 6.  She also received a master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Student Personnel Administration, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania.
