Notify your immediate Manager/Supervisor to help you determine any short term leaves that will be three or less days such as for Sick, Medical Appointments, Personal, and/or Vacation request. For any long term leaves, please reach out to the Human Resources Office (hr@gseis.ucla.edu) or your HR Representative for any questions. - Which type of leave fits your circumstance?
UC offers the following leaves, so review the information if you are unsure what type to take:- Paid Leave
Includes accrued leave, such as vacation, sick leave, PTO, and CTO; and/or Pay for Family Care and Bonding) - Family and Medical Leave (FML; may be eligible for Pay for Family Care and Bonding)

- Compensation Time Off
- Departments generally have two options for compensating premium overtime — pay or compensatory time off. However, eligible employees are entitled to choose payment for overtime.
