Ph.D. in Education
Lizzet Rojas is a doctoral student in the School of Education & Information Systems’ Social Research Methodology program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her work centers on program evaluation work that utilizes a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. She works as a graduate student researcher/program evaluator with 21CSLA (21st Century California School Leadership Academy) and as a graduate student researcher at a school implementing a systems change framework.
She has over fifteen years of experience conducting educational research and program evaluations to improve educational policy and practices. Lizzet’s research focuses on studying student outcomes, particularly with an equity-centered lens, analyzing how and to what extent systemic and institutional factors contribute to these outcomes, working with teams to understand complex educational problems and improve how their systems support educators and serve students, and analyzing the effects of educator professional learning opportunities.
