Educational Leadership Program (Ed.D)

Genaro is a doctoral student (Ed.D) in the Educational Leadership Program. He is grounded in culturally sustaining pedagogy and abolitionist teaching. Genaro served as a high school social studies teacher in South Central and Eastside LA. As an instructional coach, he understands that educators thrive when they are affirmed, respected, and given the space and safety to continue their learning journey. Genaro’s research interests are in LatCrit pedagogy, Reciprocal Learning Partnerships, and racial justice for teachers and students of color.
