Ten scholars affiliated with the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies are included in the 2025 “Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings.”

Published annually by Education Week blogger Frederick M. Hess, the director of education policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, the rankings highlight the top 200 education scholars whose work engages and influences the public sphere.  With 10 scholars included, UCLA has the most representatives of any public university and is the third most-represented institution (tied with Columbia) in the rankings, after Harvard and Stanford.

“The outstanding work of our faculty has once again been recognized for its significant impact on educational practice and policy by RHSU in their annual Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings,” said Christina Christie, Wasserman Dean of the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies.

“The efforts of our faculty included on this list reflect the genuine commitment of our school to public scholarship that furthers understanding of critical issues in education and to sharing what we learn in ways that benefit the public for good.
