UCLA Educational Leadership Program Hosts 5K Walk

Event helps fund scholarships for next generation of education leaders.

Join in the fun with family, friends, and colleagues on Sunday, August 28, as the UCLA Educational Leadership Program hosts a 5K walk at UCLA!

This event will raise scholarship funds for students in UCLA’s noted Educational Leadership Program as they pursue the development of knowledge and skills to take on leadership roles in education in the Los Angeles area and beyond.

The 3.1 mile walk will take place on the morning of Sunday, August 28, at 10:00a.m. at UCLA’s Drake Stadium. Check-in will begin at 9:30a.m. The entry fee is $35 for adults and $20 for children ages 5–12 years old. (Children under age 5 may participate for free.) Parking is available in Lot 7 at UCLA. 

Christina Christie, Wasserman Dean of UCLA’s School of Education and Information Studies, will serve as the “warm-up” coach for what is sure to be a fun and rewarding event.

Registration for the walk closes on Thursday, August 25 at midnight.  The first 250 entrants will receive a free t-shirt!

The UCLA Educational Leadership Program (ELP) is committed to developing innovative and change-oriented educational leaders for Los Angeles and beyond. The program brings together mid-career professionals from education and related sectors to develop their knowledge, skills, and capacity to serve as leaders who are equipped to deeply impact their respective organizations and the larger educational community.
