Two Friends Recall UCLA Professor Mike Rose on KCRW Greater LA
Tina Christie UCLA Wasserman Dean of the School of Education Information Studies, and Na’ilah Suad Nasir, the President of The Spencer Foundation share their heartfelt remembrances of Professor Mike Rose, who passed away in mid-August.
“Mike can only be described as a great American educator," Christie said.
"He was one of the most extraordinary story tellers that education has been introduced to.”
“Mike was the person that made the whole thing human, he made it possible to be a human and be a scholar," added Nasir, fighting back tears.
