Jeff Share, TEP faculty advisor, will take part in a panel discussion on “Nonprofits and Fake News” representatives from the media and legal professions, on Wednesday, April 19 at ABC7 Television.
The event, which is presented by the Nonprofit Communications and Media Network, will be moderated by Andy Weisser, public relations consultant and the organization’s co-president. Share’s fellow panelists include Renee Washington, assistant news director, ABC7; Stephanie Bluestein, president of the Greater LA Chapter for the Society of Professional Journalists and an assistant professor of journalism at CSU Northridge; Peter Eliasberg, General Counsel and the ACLU of Southern California; Myron Levin, executive director and editor of FairWarning.org; and Kevin Anderson, current events teachers, Woodland Hills Academy Middle School.
A check-in and continental breakfast will take place at 8:30 a.m.; the panel discussion and Q&A will begin at 9 a.m. Wrap-up and networking will take place from 10:30-11 a.m.
