Meredith Reese

Meredith Reese is Senior Manager of IT Services at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a lecturer in digital asset management at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. She also serves as Lead Instructor for Media Asset Management in the Continuing and Professional Studies program at Rutgers University’s School of Communication ad Information. Reese is a consultant specializing in digital asset management (DAM), metadata strategy, and media archives.

Prior to joining the LA Phil in 2018, Reese helped design and implement DAM programs for organizations including Mattel and Walt Disney Studios and spent nearly a decade at HBO as Manager of Archives, Metadata, and Asset Management. She began her career in film and television post-production. Reese holds a master’s degree from UCLA with a specialization in Moving Image Archive Studies. She has served on the editorial board of The Moving Image, the journal of the Association of Moving Image Archivists and is active in charitable organizations in Los Angeles to eradicate childhood poverty.
