Educational Leadership Program (Ed.D)

Cameron Salehi is an Ed.D. student at UCLA’s School of Education and Information Studies in the Educational Leadership program. His research interests include racial inequity, student motivation, LGBTQ studies, literacy at the secondary level, and the experiences of immigrant communities. He is particularly interested in how leadership and policy can disrupt systemic barriers while fostering just and engaging learning environments for historically underserved students.

Cameron’s career in education spans more than two decades and includes service as a teacher, reading specialist, school administrator, and district leader. In his district leadership, he has designed and guided initiatives in professional learning, student literacy, newcomer language acquisition programs, curriculum, and assessment to advance equity-centered instructional systems. Beyond district work, Cameron serves as the TEAMS Liaison with California Lutheran University’s TEAMS Scholarship Program, supporting the preparation of STEM teachers for high-need schools. He has also contributed to school improvement statewide as a WASC Committee Chair since 2012, supporting schools in strengthening their cultures of reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
