SUMMARY:Learning Café: A Community Engaged Scholarship Series with Michelle Caswell & Anna Robinson-Sweet
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Learning Café series highlighting the community engaged work of our faculty and graduate students. Listen\, learn and engage with the work of our school. \n\n\n\nFeaturing Michelle Caswell\, Ph.D.\, PhD\, Professor\, Information Studies\, Special Advisor to the EVCP on Community Engaged Scholarship & Anna Robinson-Sweet\, Doctoral Candidate\, Information Studies \n\n\n\n“Virtual Belonging: Assessing the Affective Impact of Digital Records Creation in Community Archives” is a four-year participatory action research project led by two community archives\, Texas After Violence Project (TAVP) and South Asian American Digital Archives (SAADA)\, in collaboration with researchers from the UCLA Community Archives Lab. This presentation will address how academic researchers can engage in equitable\, mutually beneficial relationships with independent community archives.
